Apprenticeships

Under the S106 Agreement, Dorchester Living have an obligation to provide a number of employment and skills, including opportunities to offer career choices for young people, increase the workforce, grow the number of transport apprentices and to raise skills levels throughout the sector. Along with Cherwell District Council (CDC), we will continue to support skills developments and apprenticeships to help support local employment and reduce the number of young people not in education, employment or training.

We have previously taken on apprentices and have been able to offer them the opportunity to develop in their chosen trade area. We work alongside the training college and offer the support needed and review progress regularly and give feedback. We  give the opportunity for apprentices to work alongside different subcontractors on different developments & projects and strive on watching them grow.

We had a number of apprentices who completed the program and received their distinction. We have even had one apprentice who has continued to stay with Dorchester Living for another year after completing his NVQ Level 2 & 3 Apprenticeship, so he can gain more knowledge & confidence from the buddy sub-contractors he works alongside with every day.

We are currently offering apprenticeships in bricklaying and carpentry. For more information or to submit an application please email Sarah Casemore: [email protected]
