To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, we want to share with you the successes we have achieved at Dorchester Living.
In September 2021 we welcomed 4 apprentices to our team to undertake an initial 2-year level 2 apprenticeship. Witney, Abingdon and Milton Keynes colleges supported us in setting up our apprenticeship scheme by contributing funds to the scheme. Since then, we have built a strong bond with our local CITB representative, who offers continued support and assistance in all matters of training.
Our apprentices have flourished under the guidance of our professional site teams and sub-contractors alongside guidance and support from their respective collages. Luke, Luke, Henry and Ben have gained great experience in all the relevant roles of their chosen trades, as well as working as part of a team and working with associated contractors on site. We are extremely proud of how they have matured and developed during their time with us, and they are a credit to themselves, and all involved with their ongoing training.
Due to their performance over the last 2 years and the achievement of obtaining their level 2 qualification, we are offering all our current apprentices a further year with us on this scheme. We are supporting them in obtaining level 3 qualification in the forthcoming year.
The apprenticeship programme we have embarked on at Dorchester living has proven successful in training the next generation of skilled tradespersons, and due this success we are currently planning a new intake of tradespersons and technical roles in September 2023 and beyond.
