Dorchester Living Apprentice Advances to Regional state of SkillBuild Competition

Dorchester Living is proud to announce that one of our painting and decorating apprentices, Sam Rozee, has been selected to participate in the upcoming SkillBuild Competition on 8th May.

SkillBuild is the UK’s largest and longest running multi-trade competition designed to celebrate the talent and dedication of apprentices and trainees across the construction industry. It provides a unique platform for individuals to showcase their expertise, develop their confidence and benchmark their skills again the very best in the sector.

Sam has demonstrated outstanding commitment and ability in his trade, earning him a spot in the regional stage of the competition. Throughout the heats, he will be assessed on a variety of essential industry skills including interpreting technical drawings, accurate plan marking, wallpapering techniques and detailed brushwork. His success so far is a reflection of both his hard work and the quality training provided through Dorchester Living’s apprenticeship programme.

Justin Taylor, Construction Director at Dorchester Living stated “Seeing our apprentices grow into skilled professionals and take on new challenges is one of the most rewarding parts of the job. The apprenticeship scheme isn’t just about training—it’s about building careers, confidence, and the future of our industry. We wish Sam the best of luck in the SkillBuild competition.”

We wish him every success as he represents Dorchester Living in the next phase of his highly regarded competition. We look forward to following his progress and celebrating his continued development.
