We’re committed to listening, learning, and acting on the needs of our community. Following last year’s youth consultation and ongoing collaboration with the Parish Council and local residents, we’re excited to share an important update. In response to community feedback, the open space plans for Phase 9 have been revised to include a pump track, replacing the previously proposed additional tennis court. This change reflects the community’s strong desire for more diverse and accessible free play and sports opportunities — particularly for young people. In addition to the delivery of the pump track, based on the ideas shared during the teenage consultation, we will also be delivering:

• Outdoor table tennis table‎ 

• Outdoor football table

• Four outdoor mini libraries, offering a range of books for all ages to enjoy

Please note that other tennis facilities remain available and can be booked through the hotel. In addition, Dorchester would be pleased to support the development of a local tennis club at Heyford Park, should there be interest and available volunteers.
