Heyford Park officially welcomed the festive season on Sunday 30th November, as residents gathered at The Heyford and Village Green for a magical afternoon packed full of Christmas activities and community fun for everyone.

The event, hosted by community developer Dorchester Living, was offered free for residents to enjoy. Santa’s Grotto proved to be a highlight, with children delighted to meet Santa. His reindeer also attended, giving families the chance to feed them and see them up close. The craft area buzzed with activity throughout the afternoon with lots of people enjoying getting creative, including biscuit decorating. Festive activities including face painting and balloon twisting, as well as a lively puppet show to entertain the children and market stalls to explore. 

As daylight faded, the crowd gathered for carol singing marking the official start of the festive period. It was wonderful to see the community join together to celebrate the beginning of the season.
