Our Board is made up of individuals who, together, bring a wealth of knowledge from many years’ experience within the housing sector.
Paul is a Chartered Accountant, whose experience includes Mergers and Acquisitions advisor to the Housebuilding sector at Deutsche Bank and Citigroup. Paul joined Dorchester as an equity partner in 2003 and refocused the business into the new build arena. He established its project finance arm, enabling the Company to act as a joint venture partner to many of the UK’s largest housebuilders.
Paul runs our UK Regeneration business and our UK Housebuilder, Dorchester Living, which has approximately 315 let homes, consent for a further 1,000 homes, 1.4m square feet of Commercial space, as well as investment into third party housing schemes.
Paul was instrumental in founding the Heyford Park Free School, an all through school located at Heyford Park and sponsored by the Dorchester Group. Paul is both Chairman of the School’s Trust and Board of Governors.
Colin has worked in the affordable housing sector since 1974. He started in local government and spent the next thirty years in housing associations with properties throughout England. Starting out as a housing manager, letting properties and managing tenancies in North London, he progressed through housing development and shared ownership to become Chief Executive of an association in Windsor.
At the end of 2006, Colin left full-time employment to crew in a round the world yacht race. Since his return, he has supported a number of housing businesses and continues to serve on the Board of two other Registered Providers.
Gavin has worked in the property industry for many years, advising the main boards of National Housebuilders, operational projects, and managing acquisition and development projects. Gavin joined the Dorchester Group in 2008, and has been involved with the Heyford Park development since the acquisition of the site. Gavin oversees and manages planning and development for Dorchester Living at Heyford Park.
David Levenson qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1984. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the social housing sector as a senior executive. Other employers include Dixons Stores Group and HSBC.
As Director of Finance for three of London’s largest housing associations he was responsible for raising over £1 billion from banks and capital markets which enabled circa 6,000 affordable homes to be built in and around the capital.
David has extensive experience of housing governance from both board and executive perspectives. He served as a board member for a Hackney based housing association for nine years and was consultant to five start-up registered providers which acquired stock transferred from local authorities.
David has also advised the housing regulator on new sources of finance and the financial sector’s attitude towards regulatory independence. He has contributed articles about housing finance to Property Week and Inside Housing.
