Leigh McCarron purchased a five bedroom Dashwood home with his partner Jemma and their Pyrenean Mountain Dog Bertie.
Leigh comments:“Despite working in Oxford, I’ve recently only lived in smaller villages because I like the more relaxed way of life. When making the decision to move to Oxfordshire, it was essential that we chose somewhere that encompassed that peaceful rural idyll but still offered a thriving community with shops, restaurants and of course a local pub! It was imperative that we felt like we were going to be joining a thriving modern community, where we could build friendships and that Bertie would have plenty of space to enjoy himself.”
“We really bought into Dorchester Living’s vision for Heyford Park. We looked at other new build developments between Heyford Park and Bicester and nowhere else seemed to offer that rural village feel. The village green, surrounding fields and future sports facilities will enable us to stay active, and we can’t wait for the pub to be built so we will have somewhere to socialise. The shops and other amenities will give us everything we need on our doorstep and the Free School is already receiving great reviews. I think that bodes well for our future here.”
He adds: “And if for whatever reason either of us was to relocate jobs, we could work anywhere and wouldn’t have to move. London, Northampton or even Birmingham, we would still have a simple and very manageable commute. In the long term, Heyford Park is the best choice for us by a mile.”
Leigh continues: “Discovering Heyford Park felt like we were let in on a secret. Not only did Dorchester Living offer the highest specification homes in this part of Oxfordshire, but it was great value for money. We now live in a beautifully crafted home, which even my builder friends think is well designed and we have not paid the higher prices associated with homes in Oxford or Bicester town centres.”
