Heyford Park Nursery Planning

Dorchester Living has received planning permission for a new nursery to be provided at Heyford Park.

The temporary planning permission grants Heyford Park an early years nursery for the foreseeable future. A forthcoming nursery further highlights the educational facilities which are provided at Heyford Park.

The provision of a nursery at Heyford Park will increase the educational offering alongside Heyford Park Free School, which since its opening in 2013 has been a great success and advantage of Heyford Park. The all-through school takes students from the age of 4 through to 19. A nursery at Heyford Park will provide an educational facility for infants below the age of 4, making the educational offering at Heyford Park more accommodating to a wider range of ages.

A nursery at Heyford Park is sure to be well-received, with a high number of young families living in the area. This is evidenced by the demand for places at Heyford Park Free School, which is proposed to be expanded in the new masterplan to cope with demand for places. The nursery facilities will both cater for funded hours, as well as wrap around commercial childcare. The provision of a nursery is proposed to be at the western end of Camp Road on the flying field, towards Upper Heyford.

The nursery has been given temporary planning permission for a ten year period. More information regarding the nursery planning application, including details of the planning permission subject to conditions, can be found on the Planning Downloads section of the website.
