Dorchester Living donated two life-saving Defibrillators to Heyford Park and its community in March 2016. Two public-access defibrillators now serve Heyford Park, one being stored in main Heyford Park Free School building and the other located at the school’s sports centre and gym.
A defibrillator can save the life of somebody having a cardiac arrest by sending an electric current through the heart. South Central Ambulance Service does provide training for using the life-saving device but it is safe for people to use them without training, as the defibrillators give voice instructions until the ambulance arrives.
